With Gas Prices in the USA going out of sight, here are 7 tips that can have you saving money on gas fast. If you practice them all, you may even double the mileage you get on a gallon of gas! That may seem a bit far fetched but it really is possible with some vehicles. So, in reverse order (the best is last) here are 7 tips to help you conquer high Gas Prices – USA:

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #7 – Use Overdrive Gears
When you use overdrive gears, your car’s engine speed is reduced. The slower engine speed saves fuel and lowers engine wear.

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #6 – Use Your Cruise Control
Using your cars cruise control on the highway helps you sustain a constant speed and, in the majority of cases, will help you save gas. Note that you should not use your cruise control around town or in heavy traffic.

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #5 – Avoid Excessive Idling
While idling your car is getting 0 miles per gallon. Cars with larger engines typically waste more gas at idle than do cars with smaller engines.

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #4 – Eliminate Surplus Weight
Stop keeping needless items in your car, particularly heavy ones. An extra 100 pounds in your vehicle could shrink your mileage by up to 2%. The reduction is based on the percentage of excess weight relative to the vehicle’s weight and affects smaller vehicles more than larger ones.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 1-2%/100 lbs
Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.04-$0.08/gallon

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #3 – Observe the Speed Limit
While each automobile attains it’s best possible fuel economy at a different speed (or range of speeds), gas mileage usually decreases rapidly at speeds over 60 mph. You can estimate that for every 5 mph you drive over 60 mph is like paying an extra $0.30 per gallon for fuel. Observing the speed limit is also safer.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 7-23%
Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.29-$0.94/gallon

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #2 – Drive Sensibly
Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) wastes gas. It can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds and by 5 percent around town. Sensible driving is also safer for you and others, so you may save more than gas money.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 5-33%
Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.20-$1.35/gallon

High Gas Prices USA – Tip #1 – BEST TIP: Convert your car to a Hydrogen Hybrid
When you do it yourself (you don’t need to be a mechanic), you can convert your car to a Hydrogen Hybrid for less than $200 total and no modifications to the engine are required. Your car will run smoother, have less harmful emissions, and you can easily have 20% to 50% better fuel economy. Although one 1990 Jeep I know of went from 17 MPG to 35 MPG with this conversion, that is a bit unusual. The average is a 20-50% increase in mileage. Additional cars can be converted for about $70-$80 per car because the total above includes buying the ‘how to’ instructions.
Fuel Economy Benefit: 20-50% (or more)
Equivalent Gasoline Savings: $0.68-$1.89/gallon

This collection of tips is just tips unless you use them. Using them will undoubtedly reduce the amount you spend at the pump regardless of what Gas Prices are in the USA.

Note: Cost savings are based on an assumed fuel price of $4.08/gallon.

With the rising cost of gas prices and no end in sight everyone wants to save as much money at the gas pump as they possibly can.

Do you remember when you could fill your tank for 10 BUCKS or less? Who do the oil companies think they’re conning?

You and I can’t control the price of gas but by following the current and up-to-date know-how of fuel economy, the tips and tricks, the truth . . .and not the old myths you can quickly and easily start saving significantly on your gas bill.

There is a lot of expert advice available which you can implement instantly so you can start saving money today. Here are some little known tips and tricks you can try out.

1. Paying for your gas the smart way

One of the ways that you can save money at the gas pump is by using a gasoline credit card. When you have a gas card you’ll be able to get 5 or 10 percent rebate back on the purchase of your gas. This can amount to as much as $75 to $300 each year. Many gasoline companies are joining up with other retailers to give you numerous savings at the gas pump.

2. Buy your gas in the morning or evening

Gasoline becomes denser in colder temperatures. Gas pumps are set to measure the volume of the fuel that you pump and not the density. This means that if you fill up your gas tank in the cooler morning temperatures, or in the colder evening hours, that you’ll be getting better gas price economy. Try to fill up your gas tank later in the evening to avoid the rush of day hours.

The next 2 tips will be surprising to you I’m sure.

3. Buy gas from a busy station

Try to buy your gas from a gas station that is consistently busy and therefore has its underground tanks filled on a regular basis. Gas stations that are slow will have gas that has been sitting in underground tanks for longer periods of time, leading to gas contamination. This contamination can mean that the gas you are purchasing is less powerful than fresh gas and will decrease your fuel economy.

4. Turn the nozzle

When you have finished filling up your gas tank try turning the nozzle of the hose a full 180 degrees. This will drain a bit more gas into your tank; in some cases up to an entire half cup that would otherwise be a bonus to the next gas customer. That half cup each time adds up to a lot over the year!

These are just some of the great ways to save on gas!

Those of you who are not reading about hydrogen gas savers for the first time probably noticed how crazy people are about these systems. But why is that? What is so different between an hydrogen gas saver and any other gas saving device?

First, what are the other available gas savers out there?

The most popular ones are the fuel magnets, the engine turbines and the fuel pills.

The Fuel Magnets :

These little magnets are actually very popular right now on eBay. They are not very expensive, and you can buy a few of them for a lower price, because of the quantity. What these magnets are supposed to do is realign the fuel molecules when the gasoline passes by the magnet. The molecules are supposed to be all mixed up, and aligning them would reduce the effort your engine has to produce to move your car. To install the magnet, you simply tie it on the gas line wherever you want. But I am wondering why would we need more than one magnet if it works ? Installing one magnet right before the gas line reaches the engine should logically optimize your results, no?

If you read testimonials about these devices, you’ll notice nobody saw any improvement after installing one.

The Engine Turbines :

This consists of an aluminum fan installed right next to the intake manifold, and the air flow going through the turbine should be amplified resulting in less efforts to move the car once again. But what is wrong with this system is that the turbine itself is blocking the previous airflow from going through the intake because of it’s size. In other words, what stops the device from improving the performance is… the device itself!

If you find any positive testimonials talking about significant improvements, let me know.

The Fuel Pills :

I don’t have all the technical details on how exactly these pills are supposed to work, but what I know is that you have to insert the pill into your fuel tank. When the pill is dissolving, it produces a chemical gas that is supposed to improve your cars’ gas mileage. I did not find any positive testimonials about these pills, but I personally would never try that.

A chemical gas into a fuel thank is never a good idea!

The Hydrogen Gas Savers :

First, this is not the actual name of the system. It is only one of the dozen of terms used for what is actually an HHO fuel kit. Most people using hydrogen gas savers are using a “do it yourself” guide showing every steps of what has to be done to install the device. But it is also possible to buy a device that is already assembled for a few more hundred dollars.

Basically, what you have to do is fill a little jar with water, and install that next to your engine. The system has to be connected to the battery of the car, and when you turn the ignition switch on, it creates electricity into the water. The electrolyzed water will then produce a gas called HHO.

If you take a few minutes to search for testimonials, you will notice that 95% of the people using this are getting incredible results from this system. Actually, the hydrogen gas savers can improve your gas mileage from somewhere between 30% and 40%! And keep in mind that you are only using water!

So what is the biggest difference between hydrogen gas savers and the other gas savers? The gas mileage improvement! For nearly the same price, you can have a slight improvement that you will probably never notice, or you can improve your gas mileage by up to 40%.
